@jimmie, they are still in.  You'll see the updates here.  For some reason could not get rivermiles to let me in for a while...

Let's give a big "paddle up" to all of our volunteers!  From one volunteer (Sanke) and Weldon Springs to another (Mary Ann Burkemper--?), such a nice surprise of hot chocolate & coffee from "More Than Coffee" and some nice snacks delivered there this morning!!  They were most appreciated.  Rumor has it Mary Ann just might return with firewood and sandwiches for the relief team at Weldon Springs.  It's nice to see what goes around comes around.  Yesterday, we didn't have anyone to man it and, today, it's THE PLACE to be!

Hey Barbara,

Looks like that last update might have had the wrong spreadsheet attached. Looks like the pre-race ones.

thanks

A big paddles up and thanks to all of the volunteers.  Thank you for helping keep everyone on the river safe.

Also a big congrats to all of theaddlers who are finishing the race.  WOW!  Awesome job under very harsh conditions.    Truly a huge accomplishment.

Once again too, thank you to Barbara for the updates.

Swing that paddle!

Hut,
Wally

The conditions are definitely worse than last year...  I drove over the St. Charles I-70 bridge today on my way to the finish line (wishing I was paddling on my way to the finish line).  Looking out at the river, it's several feet lower than last year.  All the dikes are exposed.  A friend drove over the Page bridge (a.k.a. the "Bridge of False Hope") a couple of days ago, and apparently there's a huge sandbar between the bridge and the curve upstream of the bridge.  That sandbar wasn't there last year, and the year before it wasn't nearly as large.  Not to mention the cold, the storms, the daylight hours lost...  I'm impressed by everyone that put in on Tuesday!  And equally impressed by all the volunteers that are making it possible - Thanks!

Hey Barbara
I want to get in line to thank you for all you do.   I really wanted to do the race this year, but we couldn't swing the date.  This is a great way to kind of be there.  The last spreadsheet is blank though.

thanks Barbara.

I think the number of DNFs speaks to the difficulty of this year's race. I see that Stand-up PaddleBoard guy is still walking on water. Impressive.

Lots are showing up at Hermann for the night.  Few are moving on.  At least we know where they are.

Two more finishers and people are moving between Hermann and Weldon Springs.  I'll have one more update in just a few minutes and then will resume in the morning.

Ok, here are the last updates for the night.  I'll check back in at daylight tomorrow.  SUP is still in and expected in Weldon Springs at any time.  Weldon Springs, also, has three boats in sight but still up-river a ways.

Barbara, Since multi-tasking appears to be one of your strong suits, I think you should make her Belgian waffles - with fresh raspberries a and chocolate syrup for breakfast.

uh...yeah, I'll get right on that just after we finish running down the street to catch up with the speeding bus driver that passed our house 8 minutes early!  Off to school we go.

BUT...I am a multi-tasker and now have all updates here.  Hermann is closed out (2 hours early).  (excuse me a minute while I shake my fist at the bus driver)
