    The Des Plaines River Canoe & Kayak Marathon has the distinction of being the second oldest continual canoe race in the United States. The event course is 18.5 miles on the beautiful and historic Des Plaines River. In 2016 a 5.25-mile non-competitive Minithon was added.

    Mississippi River; Brainard to Minneapolis, MN

    The Mississippi River Paddle Weekend includes five canoe and kayak races and a recreational tour—an event every skill level.

    The “Mississippi River 140 Canoe and Kayak Race” aka the “MR 140” is a 140-mile race that includes night paddling, portaging and an optional rapids run. The MR 48, MR 25, and MR 10 are exciting races taking place on the 12th. The Minnesota High School Canoe & Kayak Championship Race (presented in partnership with the Minnesota Canoe Association) is 3-mile race opportunity for anybody in grades 9-12, no racing experience necessary. The 7.5-mile recreational tour (rentals available and shuttle included) is presented in partnership with the Paddle Bridge Guide Collective.

    The Missouri River Freedom Race is a 100 km / 63 mile canoe and kayak race on the Missouri River that will challenge even the toughest of competitors. Hosted by Midwest Paddle Racing.

    As the unofficial "prelim" to the MR340, the Missouri River Freedom Race is the perfect race at just the right time in relation to the "big dance". You will race on an important leg of the race, and experience the brutal headwinds of "Manitou Alley".  You and your crew will get the chance to see some key MR340 Checkpoints and Paddle Stops such as Cooper's Landing, Hartsburg, and Noren.

    Racers have 14 hours to complete the course and its three checkpoints. All racers must start by 7:20 a.m. and finish by 9:30 p.m.

    The Au Sable River Canoe Marathon, presented by Consumers Energy, is an annual 120 mi (193 km) canoe race in Michigan from Grayling to Oscoda. Nicknamed and known simply as "The Marathon," it first ran in 1947, and is perhaps the oldest marathon canoe race in the United States, and is the longest, non-stop, canoe-only race in North America.

    Beginning at the Gasconade boat ramp in Gasconade MO, you will travel about a half-mile down the Gasconade river before merging onto the Mighty Missouri. The racecourse is 23.5 miles from Gasconade to New Haven, MO. Hosted by Midwest Paddle Racing.

    7 miles into the course you will pass by historical Hermann MO, a great spot for spectators to see you pass!  5 miles past Hermann you will enter Berger Bend, an S curve on the MO river, beautiful and secluded.  From there it is a quick 10 miles to New Haven on a fast section of the river.

    The finish line is the New Haven boat ramp on river right, and less than a quarter-mile from the ramp is Paddle Stop Brewery! All participants will get a custom growler and a free drink!
